Graduated with an MBBS degree from the University of Mangalore, Manipal, India in 1986.
Underwent registrar training at Ipoh General Hospital in 1991.
Received an MRCOG degree after completing his postgraduate study at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London, UK in 1993.
Worked mainly at Watford District General Hospital in the UK from 1993 to 1994.
At the same time gained an abundance of experience while undertaking locum work at other hospitals.
Was a consultant OB-GYN and the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Taiping Hospital after returning to Malaysia from 1994 to 1996.
During his tenure at Taiping Hospital, Dr. Anoop has initiated:
- the formation of a minimally invasive surgical unit - an endoscopic surgery workshop - an ultrasound workshop - a comprehensive antenatal classes program - a bereavement counseling group
Established a maternity home in 1996 after leaving Taiping Hospital
Has been in private practice for the last 27 years.
Was a visiting consultant for PCSH in 1996.
Joined PCSH full-time as a resident consultant in October 2019.
